In any construction project, you have design engineers and architects who design and plan the construction.
Upon designing the project the architects deliver the plan to project managers. Project managers then engaged carpenters, electricians, Plumber, welders and bricklayers
Architects only do the designing and planning but successful implementation of the project is done by all these different groups of technical professionals with their specific skills and expertise.
In the case of the Project titled: *Re-Construct PNG*; PM Marape plays the role of building architect. The foundation designers were our founding fathers, the likes of Late Grand Chief Sir Michael Thomas Somare, Sir Albert Moeri Kiki, Sir Peter Lus, and Sir John Guise. Sir Julias Chan and to name are few.
These groups of founding fathers laid a strong democratic foundation for us. It is up to us new groups of leaders to revive, rehabilitate and rebuild on what they have already built. The foundation is strong enough, that we have our architect PM Marape leading the way.
We need smart, honest, accountable, transparent, patriotic, revolutionary and visionary project managers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, welders and brick layers to successfully and effectively implement the project reconstructing PNG.
PM Marape has announced his mantra " *TAKE BACK PNG* and make it a black richest Christian nation on earth and launched the flagship connect PNG Policy. Marape is not alone in envisioning such a direction for PNG. The founding fathers of the PNG Constitution, the Constitutional Planning Committee (CPC), in their quest to depart from the grip of colonialism, had a similar view when drafting the country’s Constitution (1972-74).
His vision is to gain economic independence through Agriculture, resource ownership, SMEs and upstream and downstream processing of our resources.
Align with recently launched MTDV IV and Pangu Party Policies, PM Marape plans and designs as an architect to see significant improvement in the following areas.
1: Quality Education
2: Quality Health Care
3: Economic Growth & Development
4 Good Governance
5: Stable Law & Order
If you are State Ministers you are the project managers now, if you are Departmental heads you are the carpenters now, if you are Governors you are the electricians now, if you are MPs you are the Plumber now, if you are public servants you are the welders now. Our major project is " RECONSTRUCT PNG" Without any of these people our project will be incomplete.
We need everyone to collaboratively and equally participate to make sure we build a permanent house for our future generations. PM Marape is only one person, If all of us think about our country and its future, we should cut down or do away with the following:
1: soliciting into bribery and taking cuts,
2: misusing public funds
3: Recruiting incompetent wantoks and family members in Government departments and offices,
4: Awarding contracts to paper companies and political cronies,
5: Politicians investing more in Overseas than in PNG.
6: Misuse of public vehicles and properties,
7: And anything that is corruption.
PNG is 48 years old now. When will we take up responsibilities and take ownership of our country? Don't expect the Prime Minister or state Ministers to do all the job for you.
If you are placed in a position to serve this nation, give your best, and do it with your heart. Don't work for today but work for tomorrow that's the philosophy of China. We can do it here too. Don't be too complacent, if you don't do it who will do it for you? The future of this country lies in the hands of all the MPs, state Ministers, Departmental heads and public servants.
We've come a long way. Let's work together to redirect, refocus and restructure our PNG. Together we can.
Happy 48th Independence Anniversary to you all. May God bless Papua New Guinea.
